Coty pays tribute to Pierre Bourdon, the perfumer who created Davidoff’s Cool Water, some of the well-known males’s fragrance of its time, via an unique documentary entitled “Pierre Bourdon, Gentleman Perfumer”.
Launch of in 1988, Cool Water was a manifesto for the olfactive motion generally known as “New Freshness.” With its minimalist composition and daring ingredient overdoses, it broke conventions and have become a cultural phenomenon — sparking waitlists at perfume counters and record-breaking gross sales throughout Germany, the UK, and the US.
